  • If you have had other jobs in the past have that information available.  Where did you work?  When?  Who was your supervisor?

  • Have information available for three references (Name, Phone Number and Email.)

  • Once we receive your application we will contact your references as a next step.

  • Once your references have responded and filled out the required form we will contact you to setup an interview

Year Round Camp Jobs

At Camp Arnold, we want every person that steps foot on our grounds to experience God through our space, our staff, and their time here. Our mission is to use the beautiful setting of our camp as a means to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, teach environmental awareness, encourage positive social behavior and safely provide opportunities for fun and adventure. Many of our campers make lifelong friends from their time at Camp Arnold, and many of our groups find quiet time with the Lord while going about their programs.

Camp Arnold is owned and operated by The Salvation Army, an international movement, and an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

We are always in search of team members to help build our ministry and work with us through the day-to-day tasks that go into making a Camp and Conference center run. Below you will find a list of jobs that we are currently looking to fill. Please note that we are not always actively looking for new personnel so check back periodically to view Full and Part Time openings here.

Guest service is one of our highest priorities at Camp Arnold. This on call position serves as our point of contact with groups. The Guest Group Host will maintain contact with the group leaders via radio, ensure the readiness of all camp facilities for incoming groups, give a welcome talk to each group and host meals including maintaining the cleanliness of the dining hall as well as many other essential duties.

Guest groups hosts normally work weekends and are considered on call, only being scheduled when groups are using the facilities. As a front line position we are seeking enthusiastic people who love to serve and have good oral communication skills.

Guest Group Host Job Description

Guest service is one of our highest priorities at Camp Arnold. Houskeeping staff help us maintain the clean and welcoming environment at camp by providing guests with a space free of debris and distraction. Housekeepers will clean lodging and meeting spaces after groups have finished their events and will, at times, provide linen services to groups that stay for longer duration. We maintain a high standard in this department, so applicants should be ready to work hard and pay close attention to detail.

House Keeper Job Description

Camp Arnold has both a pool and a lakefront which boaters enjoy. When in use, lifeguards are stationed to provide emergency response and maintain safe and acceptable use of the areas. Swimming is only allowed at the outdoor pool, which closes between labor day and memorial day. Applicants must have a current life-guarding certification and will be occasionally scheduled for in-service training. Camp Arnold maintains a lifeguard trainer to provide additional training opportunities for our guards.

Lake and Pool use is dependent on group need and hours will fluctuate both seasonally and with the weather.

Lifeguard Job Description

On call dishwashers are scheduled as needed depending on group size. Normally dishwashers will work weekend hours and spend time in the kitchen cleaning dishes from food prep and from the dining hall. The job requires a lot of repetitive motion.

Camp Arnolds outdoor education program runs through the spring and each week school groups arrive to learn about the Pacific Northwest, participate in team building and try new and adventurous activities. Outdoor Educators will teach classes and work with school groups to provide top of the line education programs designed to empower and grow youth.  Our facilitators also learn to assist on our Challenge Course – both high and low ropes courses.
